Weapons of Mass Distraction
In the beginning there was the Weapon.
Weapons, main perpetrators of Killings, Wars, Destruction, Disasters of all sorts and
venues. Then followed weaponising the Weapon.
And… for Distraction purposes:
You “naturally” weaponise Food (example Monsanto and co.),
You weaponise Drugs, Vaccines and Medicines (example Pfizer and co.).
and all the time, you weaponise Medias,
…………….. and the list stealthily unfolds to no end.
You weaponise Tribes, Culture, Traditions and Folklores and Colours,
You weaponise Organisations, International Agencies and NGOs.
You weaponise Resolutions and Revolutions,
Then follows Charters, Conventions, Laws, Rules, and… Bretton Woods.
You weaponise Yalta, Westphalia, Maastricht and Rome.
Followed by cities: Nuremberg, The Hague, Vienna, Geneva and Davos.
And, selectively, you weaponise Anti-whatever such as anti-Semitism,
Alongside, you weaponise This or That-denier such as Holocaust or WMD-denier
(Weapons of Mass Destruction),
then, in turn, come Dress, Scarves and names of waterways such as “From the River to the Sea”.
You weaponise Los Alamos, La Bastille, the Little Bighorn, Soweto,…
You weaponise Namibia, Zulu, Dien Bien Phu, and demonise Ubuntu !
You weaponise Tian An Men, Prague and Al Maidan,
You weaponise countries, States, Ethnicities and Religions, Principles, Slogans and
Brands,
And yes, you thence weaponise… the ultimate goal: “Self-Defence”.
You weaponise Democracy, Human Rights and whatever else is on your menu.
You weaponise Solzhenitsyn and Rushdie in one way, Assange and Snowden in the
opposite way.
Then you weaponise 9/11, Terrorism and Whatever-phobia.
And while weaponising Nobel and Academy Awards,
So you weaponise Malala and Tawakkol.
Not to forgetting Caesar and Magnitsky.
You weaponise Mahsa while denying Shireen of Jenin and the Durra kid,
You weaponise Patriot and Pride (Proud).
You weaponise Hollywood and Disney,
So you weaponise Willy the Whale, Arturo the polar bear, Barnie the Dinosaur and
Peppa Pig.
You weaponise Women-Empowerment, Youth programmes, you weaponise alphabet’s LGBTQ and the magical X suffix.
Then comes the turn of TOT, IT, AI, Space, Virtual… with, invariably, a common
denominator: “Weapon”.
You even weaponise the S in this once a proper English word, replacing it with a
Warrior Z (Zed, or is it Zee?),
And above all you weaponise Double-Standards, the Dollar and Sanctions.
And to the Final Blow: you weaponise The Truth.
Weapons of Mass Distraction indeed.
The more the Distraction… the more the Destruction.
Then you Sanitise Feelings. Later you Traumatise The Rest of the World…but that is
another story for another time, perhaps.
No !..
These are not excerpts from George Bernard Shaw’s “Arms and the Man” …
These are the deadly Living Facts for the already Dead-Alive.
